IITH PhD Scholar Badweeti Kasinayana Wins First Prize at SIAT 2026 Poster Presentation

IITH congratulates Mr. Badweeti Kasinayana, PhD Scholar, Department of Civil Engineering, for securing the First Prize in the Student Poster Presentation (Smart Mobility Category) at the 19th edition of the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT 2026).

The symposium was organised by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in association with SAE International (USA) and SAE India, under the theme "Innovative Pathways for Safe and Sustainable Mobility."

His award-winning poster titled "ADAS in the Indian Context: Evaluating Trust and Effectiveness of the Forward Collision Warning System under Real-World Traffic Conditions" was presented by the team "Bharat ADAS Vision."

This achievement also carries a cash reward of ₹20,000.

Badweeti is working under the supervision of Dr. Digvijay S. Pawar, Department of Civil Engineering.
