We are pleased to inform you that the Department of AI at IIT Hyderabad is organizing a pre-summit event leading to the main event, India AI Impact Summit, which will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in February 2026. This one-day pre-summit event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 16th January 2026 at Auditorium 1, Convention Centre.
This public event will feature insightful talks, panel discussions, technology showcases, student-focused activities, and startup engagements, centered around the theme “AI for Inclusion and Empowerment.” On behalf of the AI department, I cordially invite you to attend the event.

1. Startup Pitch
If you have a startup, this event is for you to present your ideas. This event provides a platform and engagement opportunities for budding entrepreneurs to engage with industry leaders and other startups. Top three pitches will be handsomely rewarded. - Format: Short-format, 5 minutes "Power Pitches" followed by networking.
1. AI and Me
This activity is designed to encourage students to reflect on their interactions with Artificial Intelligence and its role in their lives.
- Time: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
- Venue: Auditorium 1, Convention Centre, IIT Hyderabad
We invite thoughtful written submissions from students that reflect their experiences, expectations, and concerns regarding AI. Students may write about:
- How AI influences their learning habits
- What they believe could be the next major breakthrough in AI
- Societal benefits and risks associated with AI
- Trustworthiness and limitations of AI systems
- Challenges faced while using AI tools
- The impact of increasing dependence on AI in everyday life
Selected students get to present their ideas to a wider audience during the event and win exciting prizes.
