Dr. M. Ramji, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad

Dr. M. Ramji is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad. Also, he is the Head, Engineering Sciences Program, IIT Hyderabad. His research expertise is on composite repair, fundamental fracture and fatigue studies, high temperature material testing, computational fracture and damage mechanics. He focuses on mechanics of repair aspects applicable to composite structures involving digital image correlation. He also uses digital reflection and transmission photoelasticity for applied stress strain/stress analysis. He also extensively uses FEA for practical stress analysis of mechanical components. Prior to joining IIT Hyderabad, he was working as Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Guwahati and as Design Engineer, JFWTC, GE Bangalore. Currently, his focus is on experimental study of crack inclusion and damage mechanics in composites under different load conditions. He is a member of SEM, USA.
