Special Features

 

Each participant will receive:

1. Workbook with course notes and carefully selected references addressing overview of Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP), Manufacturing aspects and applications during the short course.

 

2. An opportunity to participate on various demo sessions related to manufacturing and mechanical testing of FRP material at Engineering Optics Lab, IIT Hyderabad.

 

Day one:

A brief exposure on FRP including mechanics, manufacturing and testing aspects will be covered during first half. Second half includes live demonstration of manufacturing and testing of FRP materials. The hands on session will help the participants to understand the mechanical behavior and essentials of manufacturing processes.

Day two: 

Fatigue aspects in composites, strengthening case studies with FRP applied to civil structures and fundamentals of composite repair. Second half will include a visit composite manufacturing industry.
