    Introduction, Electrical Machines, Power Converters, Controllers, Modeling of DC Machines, State space modeling, Electro-mechanical model Phase controlled DC motor drives: Steady state analysis of the three phase converter controlled dc motor drive, two-quadrant, three phase converter controlled Dc motor drive, field weakening, four- quardrant dc motor drive, converter selection and characteristics, simulation Chopper controlled dc motor drive Polyphase induction motor drives: steady state equivalent circuit, dynamic modeling and simulation, slip energy recovery scheme, speed control of inductor motor Vector-controlled induction motor drives: principles of vector control, direct vector control, indirect vector control scheme, tuning of vector controller.
