structures enables many interesting science as the structure dimensions
become comparable to characteristic length scales, which has immediate application in
storage, magnetic memory and spintronics devices. Moreover, the
nanostructures as in patterned arrays, becomes crucial as
effects produced by the confinement and proximity can be controlled and
modified by their geometrical configuration. Ordered arrays of nanostructures
interesting to study, as one can probe both the individual and
collective behavior of the elements. The
important properties that of interest to study is
at nanoscale where change can happen in smaller time scales (e.g.
fluctuation of magnetic domain wall, ultrafast demagnetization), so the
challenge is to understand science
of ultra-small structures at
ultra-fast time scales. We
laboratory based experimental techniques as well as large scale
facility (neutron and synchrotron radiation based techniques) to
characterize/observe the nano-scale properties.
