Extra-Mural Lectures and Workshops
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science."
- - Albert Einstein
The word student, defines Wikipedia, is etymologically derived through Middle English from the Latin second-type conjugation verb studere, meaning "to direct one's zeal at"; hence a student could be described as "one who directs zeal at a subject". In its widest use, student is used for anyone who is learning. But "learning" in this context does not mean the same old way of taking out a text book and trying to decipher something out of it.
Here in Elan, we have tried our best to redefine the idea of learning. We offer to teach our audience different skills of art, science and technology in our way and also eminent personalities excelling in different spheres of knowledge will be here to give talks and share their experiences. So, we urge you to indulge yourself into the act of 'educating' and promote 'learning' in its brightest quality in the true sense... "Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence."
